The West Shore Tax Bureau is now the
Cumberland County Tax Bureau!

As of January 1st, 2012 this bureau assumes this new name and commences tax collection throughout Cumberland County as mandated by Pennsylvania's Act 32 of 2008.

This bureau now serves all of Cumberland Couny, portions of Franklin County in the Shippensburg Area School District and portions of York County in the West Shore School District as the county elected collector for countywide Earned Income Tax.

Local Earned Income Tax Return Clarification

For the 2011 tax year filed now in 2012, the following School Districts and Municipalities are required to file with the Cumberland County Tax Bureau, formerly the West Shore Tax Bureau.

Camp Hill SD (Camp Hill Borough), East Pennsboro SD (East Pennsboro Township), Mechanicsburg SD (Mechanicsburg Borough, Shiremanstown Borough, Shiremanstown Annex, Upper Allen Township), Cumberland Valley SD (Hampden Township, Silver Spring Township, Monroe Township, Middlesex Township), West Shore SD (Fairview Township, Lower Allen Township, New Cumberland Borough, Newberry Township, Lemoyne Borough, Wormleysburg Borough, Goldsboro Borough), Northeastern SD (Newberry Township), Northern York SD (Franklin Township, Franklintown Borough, Dillsburg Borough, Monaghan Township, Wellsville Borough, Warrington Township and Carroll Township).

PLEASE NOTE: April 17, 2012 is the due date for filing your 2011 Individual Earned Income Tax Return.

Act 32 - Employer Update

The Cumberland County Tax Bureau will be requiring work location PSD codes with filings beginning January 1, 2012.

In addition, employers with more than one hundred fifty (150) employees will be required to file online beginning with the first quarterly filing in 2012. Information on getting set up for online filing may be obtained by calling 717.975.8965 or emailing itservices@cumberlandtax.org.
